For the first time in 20 years, a boat of the floriculture sector joined the Amsterdam Gay Pride parade held last Saturday, 1 August 2015. The boat design was composed by the internationally renowned floral arranger and ambassador of Dutch flowers, Jeff Leatham and his team.
It’s indeed an honour to welcome all the exhibitors and visitors from Kenya and across the globe to yet another edition of the International Flower trade Expo (IFTEX). The show has indeed placed Kenya in the global map as one of the top flower exporting country continuing to serve the industry in all seasons. The Kenya Horticulture industry is one of the top foreign exchange earners for the country generating Kshs 100.8 billion during the year 2014. The floriculture sector a key component of horticulture exported 136,601 metric tons valued at Kshs 54.6 billion in the same year.
Hydrangea symbolizes grace, beauty and abundance. This because of the exuberant number of flowers and the generous dome form. The flower also symbolizes gratefulness and sincere.
Vietnam Women's Day is among several occasions on which the society show their love & respect to the Vietnamese women. On this day, roses, post cards and wishes are given to Vietnamese women to show society's respect.
The initiative of the holiday was from the Vietnam Women's Union, in commemoration of the establishment of the union on 20/10/1930.
